How to Manage Socially Polarising Topics

Join the Diversity Practitioners Association's next workshop to build the skills and confidence to navigate the complexities of providing advice on socially polarising issues within your organisation.

As DEI leaders and specialists well know, workforces often reflect the broad spectrum of societal and political views. Many sensitive and deeply personal issues emerge within workplaces. As organisations strive to be inclusive and responsive to the world around us, often DEI practitioners are called upon for advice.

In this interactive workshop, we’ll harness the collective intelligence of our practitioner community to build effective and robust frameworks to:

  • analyse potentially socially polarising topics

  • make recommendations to senior leaders

  • communicate decisions within your organisation

This workshop will be facilitated by DPA Management Committee Members and experienced practitioners Andrea Smith and Natasha Caflisch. In examining this topic in an interactive setting, a range of sensitive scenarios will be discussed. Care will be taken to ensure a safe and respectful environment for all.

Why attend?

  • Collaborate with fellow practitioners on real-world scenarios

  • Refine your skills on providing business advice on guidance on the most sensitive of topics

  • Gain insights and strategies to balance personal values with professional responsibilities

  • Walk away with a practical framework to navigate sensitive scenarios in your own organisation
