Join us for an insightful session designed specifically for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) practitioners. In today's rapidly evolving landscape, DEI professionals shoulder a heavy mental load when it comes to fostering inclusive environments and driving meaningful change. This important work can often lead to significant personal and professional challenges, including burnout and unhealthy levels of stress.
This session will provide practical strategies and support for DEI practitioners to manage their psychological wellbeing effectively. In this online event we will:
Acknowledge the layers and complexities of the DEI Practitioner's role and the unique challenges that make us more susceptible to burnout
Explore an evidence based measure of wellbeing, focusing on the whole person
Understand the different types of stress and identify the warning signs of burnout
Explore self-care practices, stress management techniques, and strategies for maintaining resilience in demanding environments.
This workshop will be facilitated by DPA Management Committee Member and experienced DEI, HR and Wellbeing professional Emma Elder.
Hosting this session online allows our attendees to join from a location of their choice, to allow for maximum comfort. There will be some interaction and check ins using our online meetings tools, there will be no pressure to have your camera or microphone on.
